With autumn in the air, there’s one thing almost everyone is craving; pumpkin spice. But, when you’re vegan, it can be tricky to navigate all the seasonal foods of autumn. That’s why I decided to compile a list of the best vegan pumpkin spice recipes and treats to DIY throughout spooky season. From a luscious vegan pumpkin spice loaf to the almighty PSL. Here are some vegan pumpkin spice treats to get you started:
Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love how chocolate counteracts the spice in pumpkin spice goodies! That’s why chocolate chip cookies are a must during this season.

Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Cookies

You might have heard of the two-ingredient banana-oat cookies, now get ready for pumpkin spice oat cookies! Oatmeal cookies are popular because they’re “healthier” than traditional cookies and less hassle. I find them much more filling, which is why these vegan pumpkin spice oatmeal cookies are one of my go-to plant-based fall snacks.

Mildly Pumpkin Scones

I love how versatile scones can be. From light cherry scones in spring to comforting pumpkin scones in fall. If you’re absolutely sick of strongly pumpkin-spiced everything, this might be a more palatable option. I wanted to use up some already open pumpkin puree but didn’t want to go overboard. That’s how this recipe came to be! These use some pumpkin puree and sweeter autumn flavours like maple syrup and cinnamon.

Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

Technically crispy roasted pumpkin spice seeds are a vegan pumpkin spice snack recipe; they came from a pumpkin and they’re spiced – albeit, not with the spices you typically associate with pumpkin spice.
This is a great way to upcycle your jack-o-lantern after Halloween! After the abundance of sweet foods, I also find savory snacks like this a welcome change.

Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin pie is one of the most classic fall desserts! There’s no reason why it shouldn’t be made vegan.

Pumpkin Blondies

I love brownies, but when you’ve had too much chocolate, blondies are a nice change. I’ve tried pumpkin (espresso) brownies before. While I enjoyed them, it’s very easy for the pumpkin spice flavour to get lost in all the chocolate. The coffee also made it much heavier – and also down out the pumpkin. So, for a more autumn-y taste, pumpkin spice blondies are the treat for you.

Pumpkin Spice Waffles

Pumpkin spice waffles are a perfect thing to wake up to on crisp autumn mornings. If you don’t have a waffle iron, you can always make pancakes!

Pumpkin Spice Chia Pudding

Chia pudding is simple and filling! There’s no reason why you can’t enjoy it in autumn and it makes a great vegan pumpkin spice dessert.

Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

Pumpkin spice hot chocolate is a great way to wash down these vegan pumpkin spice recipes! As I said earlier, chocolate and spice goes hand in hand! This is also great for those who don’t like coffee – but, there’s nothing to say that you can’t add an espresso shot.

Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte

There was no way a DIY vegan pumpkin spice latte recipe was not going to be included in this fall recipe list! The vegan PSL is the face of autumn. I love a good seasonal drink from Starbucks, but believe it or not, their PSL is not my favourite. I wanted to create one with smooth oat milk, real pumpkin puree and real spices.

If you don’t want a PSL with one of these vegan pumpkin spice treats, you might prefer a maple latte.
Peanut Butter & Chocolate Pumpkin Bread

The absolute star of these vegan pumpkin spice recipes for me is my peanut butter & chocolate chip pumpkin bread. I love normal pumpkin bread but I was craving something more when I wanted to make my own vegan pumpkin spice loaf. Pumpkin, peanut butter, and chocolate are a match made in heaven! It’s thick, luscious and so addictive.
